Fun, informative & relaxed wine tasting

Hi… My name is Murray, and I have been involved in the wine trade for nearly 30 years, developing extensive knowledge of wines from around the world.

I am fortunate to do a job I love, and sharing that passion and enthusiasm with others is one of the most enjoyable parts. Wine is deeply embedded in the culture of countries worldwide, whether that includes the most famous producers like France, Spain, Italy, and Germany, or newer producers such as South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. Recent years have seen the rise of wines from countries like Bulgaria, Greece & Romania produce wines that rival the best.

I created Cork & Pull to help people understand wine better in a fun and informative way, by organising tastings, whether that be in your own home with family and friends, in a venue of your choosing, or with work colleagues after a particularly busy week.

I have vast experience in hosting wine tastings, having done so over the years with a number of independent and well-known wine retailers. Additionally, I possess a current Personal Licence and a WSET Advanced level 3 professional qualification in Wines & Spirits.

We hired Murray to come along to an ice-breaker works event for new staff to get to know each other. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful informal approach, which made the whole evening fun while we learned about lots of different wines, the wine-making process, and how this can affect the taste, body & colour.
